What we need from you first

A short list does it. Give us the address, a count of the fireplaces and the unit numbers if there are any. Tell us who holds the key to each roof hatch or gate.

If a few units are occupied, tell us that too. Residents should know we are coming.

  • Address and unit numbers
  • How many fireplaces
  • Roof and gate access

One visit, the whole list

We go through all of them in one trip, so you are not scheduling again and again. At each fireplace we check the cap, crown and flashing from the roof and take photos.

On a Level 2 we also run a camera the length of the flue and look over the attic, crawlspace and roof sections we can reach.

A report that names each fireplace

You get a single report. It names each fireplace, with written findings and photos. Forwarding it to the right owner is easy.

Report and photos are ready on inspection day. They can go to you, the board, an owner, or every one of them.

Price per fireplace

The rate is set for one fireplace, Level 1 or Level 2. Count the fireplaces on your list and multiply.

Repairs that the findings call for, a crown or a liner for example, get a quote after the inspection.

Per-fireplace pricing

A Level 1 is $52 per fireplace, a Level 2 is $370 per fireplace, and a sweep is from $210.

Level 1 visual check
$52
Video Level 2
$370
Routine chimney sweep
from $210

Multiply the figure by the number of fireplaces at your property.

Questions from managers

Do all the fireplaces get inspected in one visit?

Yes. We work through the whole list in a single trip, and each fireplace is named in the report.

Which level should we pick for a building?

Level 1 means eyes on whatever is reachable. Level 2 adds the flue camera and the attic, crawlspace and roof sections. NFPA 211 asks for the second level on a transfer, after a fire or quake, and on a change of fuel.

Can the board get a copy?

Yes. Tell us who should receive the report and we will send it to them.
