Learn MoreHow we work a chimney in Downey
Downey turned from farm town to suburb in the aerospace boom, and nearly all of it is now past 45 years old. Many brick or block stacks later got gas logs, and we check whether anyone kept up the crown once the wood stopped. Dry fall and winter gusts can loosen a cap that was never well fastened, and morning clouds keep early summer mild. Downey felt the 2008 and 2014 quakes too, enough reason to look at aging joints from above.
What We Check on the Roof
Boom-era crowns, cap fasteners after windy days, and joints since the 2008 and 2014 shaking.
What the Same Crew Fixes
The same hands that photographed your crown near the Rio Hondo carry out its repair.
Brush Work Here
Postwar flues, many fitted later with gas logs, brushed from below with rotary heads.
Next Door
We also climb roofs in Bell Gardens, Paramount, Bellflower.
