Learn MoreHow we work a chimney in Los Alamitos
Early growth here came from a sugar beet factory opened in 1897, and today less than half of Los Alamitos housing is detached. Stacks are mostly from the postwar decades, so a roof look at the crown usually tells more than a look inside. A major fault, the Newport-Inglewood, sits just southwest of town, so cracks across older brick deserve attention. Dry Santa Ana gusts can strip a cap in fall and winter, and rain through March follows whatever gap they leave.
What We Check on the Roof
Crowns from the postwar decades, gust-worn caps, and cracks along the nearby fault.
What the Same Crew Fixes
Crown and cap jobs stay with the crew who brought the photos down.
Brush Work Here
Postwar flues in detached and attached homes brushed by hand, damper cleaned.
Next Door
We also climb roofs in Westminster, Hawaiian Gardens, Rossmoor.
